St Gallen

Forgot to put put pics of St Gallen... its a nice small town... length of 12 km... breadth of 4km... can walk everywhere... and today i just walk back from the supermarket with a bulk of toilet paper...
dunnoe if my fren was embarass to walk with me a not... tt's why she say she will alk around town first before heading home... she lives on the same street as me...

This is the view from one of the sch buildings to outside... nice scenary around... although its hilly like NTU... its surroundings are much much better...

This are the one of the flight of stairs i take to sch every morning... and its upwards to the hill... when i go home then its easier... cause its down hill
Nice building in St Gallen... has a story behind it.... the 4 women scrupture u see on it represent from birth to death... right to left....


This is my room... slightly smaller than a double room in hall5... but got not many things to put... so its quite spacious...

Grafitti right outside my room... i live on the ground floor... sharing toilet with just 1 person... other pple have to share with more... maybe tt explains my rent... slightly higher than my friends and washing machine still have to pay everytime i wash...


This is a beer i drank last night at this pub... we were invited to go on this pub crawl... we visit pub from pub... there were 4 altogether... i drank this at the third one... after the whole bottle i knew i was getting high... so i headed back home... before i drink too much and get drunk which i dun wan to... its a tequila beer.... 75%of the beer is tequila... and it has only 5.9% of alcholic content... plus a lemon would be put into the bottle before u drink it... its a nice beer not too strong... just nice for me... quite nice... but will get high after tt... so dun think i will drink tt much... may be going to a pub again tonight... dunnoe yet haven decided... there's nothing to do at night one... no TV to watch etc... no homework yet... so may just hang out at a pub today...

Going to Appenzell tml... my buddy bringing the whole bunch of us there....

Travelling to Prague

After spending 2 days in Prague, we took a bus ride to prague... took us 4 hours... and the ride was quite comfy and nice... along the way there was as usual nice scenary... it was like a whole large area covered in snow... and i could take a video of like 2 whole mintues of nothing but snow.... its was quite nice...



In prague, we stayed at this hostel called Apple hostel which is really bad.... compared to the one in Vienna, the toilets dun have locks and the shower room have no doors except a shower curtain and in the room there are 3 shower heads... my frens were kinda paranoid abt it....
After putting down our stuff we went sight-seeing... Prague is much smaller than Vienna and they have better maps.. Its super commercialise now... everywhere i went there were heaps of tourists despite the cold weather... imagine the crowd during the high season...


Day1

The pic you see on the second row first from the left is a toilet... right in the middle of a busy shopping street.... cost 5czk to use... abt 30cents ... 6 minutes.... din want to pay... so couldn't take the inside of it.... took nice pics of buildings and streets as usual... nice sunset against the building equals to nice scenary....
Tried some local food... not too bad... just be careful when u visit resturants, cafes and pubs in prague... some of them have cover charges and its quite ex... if u have to pay cover charge, dun need to tip, otherwise, its better to tip...

Pics contain mostly of the old town square.... and loook wat i found there... Bata... apparently its quite a high-class brand in Europe... wonder wat happen to them in Singapore... enter the market low and tried to gain market share.... apparently... its too low and singaporeans are thinking too little of them...

Day2

Went to Charles bridge and a grand cathedral plus palace... and the area around it... spent nearly the whole day there... cause most attraction closes at 4.30... we miss another cathedral by like 10mins and can't go in.... the guards outside the palace, can't move...

Nice scenary as usualy....

Camera din have enough memory so i din take pics the third day... but we spent all our CZKs and left prague at 9pm... the bus ride was horrible compared to the one we took to prague... It took abt 9 hours with lots of break in between... the bus wa quite packed so wasn't as comfy...
Got back to St gallen at like 6+am... tried to slp but my room was too cold... well its was a great trip.... keep within budget... so it wasn't too bad...

Travelling to Vienna

The moment I reached St. Gallen, unpacked and bathe... I took a 10 hour train ride to Vienna.... It wasn't really comfy but i still managed to slp for a few hours here and there... but when i woke up... my neck hurts...

Well in Vienna, we kept getting lost... it kinda spoilt the trip a little... blame it on poor map reading and stuff... its not a gd experience to be walking out in the cold and realising that you are lost in a foreign city. Europe has every nice architecture and stuff... things that you will never get to see in Asia... the buildings are like very very beautiful... scenary is superub...

Day 1

Din really get to see much on day 1 cause when we settle down it was abt afternoon... most attracton closes at like 430/5... so we only managed to see an art musemum... with lots of art works from artists around the region is the last century

Day2 @ Nachmarket

When to the NAchmarket in Vienna on Day2... saw lots of fruits and vegetables... wat's so interesting is that they have super huge chilies and brinjors.... and lots of variety of cheese....

But the stallholders keep saying Konichiwa to us... if we din response... they continued with "ni hao mah?" hahaha.... they were trying to get us to but thier food cause it was still quite early and the crowd hasn't arrived.

Day2 @ Schonburn Palace ( I think its spelled like tt)

Nice palace of the Haburgs empire... spend nearly a day there viewing the musemum and the park behind it... if its summer there will be more things to see... but for us its enough... the view up on the hill behind the palace was splendid... quite worth it after climbing a steep hill...

Day2

After viewing the palace we went around looking at more attractions, nice buildings... nice statues.... nice scenary...

Interesting stuff

The first two pics shows a smart car... its this mini hatchback car... (2-seater) super cute, cool and funky... it only takes up half the parking lot... dun think singapore has it yet... the third pic is a real Ferrari car... nice coold engine back and the boot.... the last pic shows a speed meter.... everytime a car past it a number will appear.... took me a while to notice... and while i was trying to take a photo of it... someone driving signal a "nono" to me.... it was kinda funny...

And i was there in Vienna, this guy came straight up to my friend (louisa) and tried to take a photo of her... but she shiam... then in the end i stood there ini shock and horror when a guy took photo of me one arm's length away... was wondering why can't they asked... and on the same day... while walking along some street one tourist on the bus tried to waved to me... wat's wrong with these guys... and my friends commented that i look jap... and they are interested in me... WTH....

First Week in Europe

This is a very late entry... I m nowback at St. Gallen after 6 days of touring... its actually 5 days... 1 day was spent on travelling.

Well shld start from the top... before my flight to Zurich...at the Changi Airport... Stella and Peiying forget to come and sent me... well kinda sad that they were not there but its okie... Adrian was there to sent me... End up not taking any photos at the airport...the flight to Dubai was comfty and had a bit of slp... but once we reach Dubai... we managed to find this area called the Quiet lounge and managed to get some slp before the flight to Zurich. But its quite chaotic over at the Dubai Airport... cause they only display the gate number during their last call.... we had to run to the gate cause our gate was right at the end... but there was a lot of pple queue-ing up so we weren't tt late.... the plane to Zurich was a bit smaller and cramp... quite uncomfortable... but still managed to get some slp... saw some snow mountains along the way... wasn't at the window seat so i din managed to take photos of it....

After 16+hours from singapore.... I finally reached Zurich... had to buy train tickets to St. Gallen and also settle our transport to Vienna on the same night... by the time I reach St Gallen it was about 2pm... after unpacking and bathing.... we setted off to the train station... to Vienna......
