International Dinner

We had International Dinner on Wednesday (19/4) at some place which was very far away from my house! It took us about 30 minutes to walk there and knowing our walking speed, the distance didn't help at all. =P Anyway, we were supposed to cook dishes from our countries and present it at the dinner. Seriously, Singapore has very few dishes which truly belong to us. The ones we could think of are Hainanese Chicken Rice and Bak Kut Teh, right? Maybe there are some more but can't think of it right now. Ok, I'm not defending ourselves but it's not easy getting ingredients here. We can get it from asian shops but it's obviously more expensive. So we cooked fried rice and fried broccoli with oyster sauce! Believe me, it looked and tasted nice too! =) There are lots of dishes at the dinner, such as crepes, salad, pancakes, kim bop (korean), steamed sweet dumplings, somtum (thai salad with fish sauce), pastries etc. And of course, how could we miss the party after the dinner?? Hmm, the music wasn't that great but the drinks were! Heh..and of course the company too! ; ) Here goes the pics!
